Registration & Enrolment

  • What is RISE for Business?

RISE for Business is a digital upskilling programme by BCG designed to help SMEs and growth enterprises build future-ready capabilities within their workforce. The programme equips employees with in-demand business and digital skills—such as data analytics, digital marketing, and digital transformation—through a part-time, hands-on learning experience. Learners apply their skills to real business challenges from their own workplace, with guidance from BCG coaches, creating immediate impact while supporting long-term business growth and innovation.

  • What makes RISE for Business different from other corporate training programmes?

Unlike most training programmes, RISE for Business lets learners bring real business challenges from their workplace and solve them with support from BCG coaches. This hands-on, tailored approach ensures learning is immediately applicable and delivers impact for both the employee and the organisation.

  • How do I sign up for RISE for Business?

Simply click “Register Now” button and fill up the form to get started. We’ll guide you through the enrolment process, help assess your eligibility for subsidies, and answer any questions you may have.

  • As an employer, how would enrolling my employees in RISE for Business benefit my organisation?

RISE for Business equips your employees with future-ready digital and business capabilities that can be directly applied to their roles. Through a structured, part-time training experience, learners gain practical tools and frameworks in areas like data analytics, digital innovation, or omnichannel marketing—tailored to real use cases within your organisation.

However, it’s important to note that this is a learning programme—not a consulting engagement. The curriculum, group-based assessments, and coaching sessions follow a consistent structure and are not customised to individual business needs. The focus is on building your capabilities—so you take ownership of the challenge and grow through the process. By the end of the programme, you’ll be better prepared to lead digital initiatives, improve workflows, and contribute to your organisation’s transformation journey.

  • As a sponsored learner, how would joining RISE for Business benefit me?

As a sponsored learner, you’ll be equipped with in-demand business and digital skills that allow you to expand your role and create greater impact at work. Whether it’s making data-driven decisions, improving team workflows, or reaching customers more effectively through digital marketing, you’ll gain practical skills you can apply immediately—even during the course. With support from industry experts and trainers, you’ll work on real business challenges from your day-to-day role, delivering quick wins while building long-term capabilities that strengthen your career growth.

  • As an employer, how many employees can I sign up?

There is no limit to the number of employees your organisation can enrol in RISE for Business. You’re welcome to nominate as many team members as needed to support your upskilling and transformation goals.

  • As a learner, how do I know which course is right for me?

Choosing the right course depends on your current role, the skills you want to develop, and the role you’d like to grow into to create greater impact within your organisation. Whether you’re looking to work more effectively with data, lead digital initiatives, or engage customers more strategically, each RISE for Business course is designed to help you apply new skills directly to your work.

Course Fees & Subsidies

  • How much is the course fee?

The course fee for RISE for Business is $28,000 before subsidies.

  • Are there course fee subsidies?

Yes. Eligible companies can receive up to 90% in training subsidies — 70% through SSG’s Course Fee Grant (CFG), with an additional 20% provided via either the Enhanced Training Support for SMEs (ETSS) or the Mid-Career Enhanced Subsidy (MCES), depending on eligibility. In addition, companies may qualify for Absentee Payroll funding, which helps defray manpower costs when employees attend training. Other government support schemes may also be available depending on eligibility.

  • How much will my company need to pay after subsidies?

After subsidies, companies typically pay 10% of the course fee, amounting to $2,800 per learner (before GST). This amount can be further reduced by up to 90% using the SkillsFuture Enterprise Credit (SFEC). In addition, companies can also claim Absentee Payroll funding to offset employee training-related costs even further.

  • Are SME companies eligible for course fee subsidies under RISE for Business?

Yes, Singapore-registered SMEs are eligible for enhanced subsidies up to 90% course fee under the SkillsFuture SG (SSG) Subsidy and Enhanced Training Support for SMEs (ETSS). This includes a 70% SkillsFuture course fee subsidy, plus an additional ETSS top-up, reducing the total out-of-pocket fee from $28,000 to just $2,800 per learner before GST. On top of that, companies can claim Absentee Payroll funding to further offset training-related costs.

To qualify for ETSS funding, companies must be declared as a SME. You can refer to the SME declaration guide here to assist you in your declaration.

  • Are non-SME companies eligible for course fee subsidies under RISE for Business?

Yes, non-SME companies are eligible for baseline subsidies under SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) for Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents. This includes a 70% course fee subsidy, reducing the cost from $28,000 to $8,400 per learner. For Singapore Citizens aged 40 and above, the Mid-Career Enhanced Subsidy (MCES) provides additional support—bringing the out-of-pocket fee down to $2,800 before GST. On top of that, companies can claim Absentee Payroll funding to further offset training-related costs.

  • What is Absentee Payroll funding?

Absentee Payroll (AP) funding is a grant provided by SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) to help employers defray the manpower costs incurred when employees attend training during paid working hours. Eligible employers can receive $4.50 per training hour per employee, capped at $100,000 per enterprise per calendar year.

This funding is designed to support workforce development by making it easier for companies—especially SMEs—to send employees for upskilling without bearing the full cost of lost productivity. AP funding can be claimed in addition to course fee subsidies, further lowering the overall cost of training under programmes like RISE for Business.

All Absentee Payroll claims are administered directly by SSG. Employers are responsible for submitting the necessary documentation and working with SSG for claim processing and disbursement.

    • For more information on Absentee Payroll (AP) funding, see here.
  • Am I eligible for a refund if I don't complete the course?

Once you have commenced the programme, only withdrawals due to valid reasons stipulated by BCG — such as a certifiable medical condition that prevents you from continuing the programme (with supporting documents), or resignation from your Sponsoring Company — may be eligible for refunds. In such cases, only the fees for modules not yet commenced will be refunded. You must notify BCG in writing within one week, complete the withdrawal process, and provide relevant documentation. If the reason is deemed invalid or the formal process is not completed, your Sponsoring Company may be subject to a penalty where no refund will be issued.
