FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Is the Applied AI and Data Analytics (AADA) course beginner-friendly?

Yes. The course is suitable for learners with no prior data experience. It’s ideal for those looking to build core data skills or apply data insights in roles like HR, finance, operations and more, using platforms such as Excel, SQL, Python, GenAI and low-code/no-code tools. While no prior statistics knowledge is required, the programme will introduce essential foundational concepts to support your learning and application throughout the course. As part of the enrolment process, learners may be expected to complete an AADA aptitude test. While passing the test is not an entry requirement, it helps you assess your current understanding and identify areas to strengthen before the course begins. We encourage learners to revisit the preparatory materials provided when completing the test to set themselves up for success in the programme.

As the full-time programme strives to fast-track learners’ upskilling journey, the pacing will be faster as lessons take place daily, with mechanisms built in to ensure a sustainable learning progress. AADA part-time lessons take place on two weekday evenings (Monday and Wednesday, 7pm to 10pm) and Saturdays (9am to 12pm), and is better suited for learners engaged in full-time employment, or those only able to commit to the learning schedule outside of usual working hours. The part-time programme pacing is more moderated to cater to working professionals.
