What is RISE?

RISE stands for Rapid & Immersive Skill Enhancement, a unique 6-month programme designed to enhance employability by building the most sought after business and digital skills through impactful learning and real work experience. Created by the DigitalBCG Academy, RISE leverages BCG’s industry experts who are at the top of their fields.

RISE is classified under the SGUnited Mid-Career Pathways Programme – Company Training and will train participants for in-demand job roles such as data analysts, business analysts, digital marketers, digital sales executives and digital transformation managers. RISE will equip mid-career jobseekers with “biz tech” skills to allow them to pivot to new career opportunities in digital-related roles in growth sectors.

What is the mode of learning?

Participants will undergo a 6-month full-time training that is conducted completely virtually. The course will be taught through a combination of live lectures, workshops, real company projects and e-learning.

What happens after I register for RISE?

After registering for RISE, an email will be sent to you within 1 working day to inform whether you have passed the minimum eligibility check. If you have passed the check, you will receive a link to complete a cognitive test. We will also start a process to evaluate your CV. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for interview before enrolment in RISE is confirmed. The whole process is expected to take around 2 weeks.

Why is this programme so long?

RISE is a holistic programme covering technical skills, business skills (such as structured problem solving and generating insights), soft skills (such as communication skills and growth mindset) and job search skills – everything that is necessary to prepare candidates for new career opportunities in digital-related roles.

RISE is also very friendly to people with little to no technical background. Our longer programme length of 6 months also helps to maximise chances of success in finding a new job.

If you find a job during the 6 months, congratulations! You have the flexibility to exit the programme with valid reasons and get a refund for the hours unconsumed.

What is the training duration of the RISE programme?

The overall duration of the RISE programme is 6 months. The average training duration per day is 4-6 hours (excluding weekends and public holidays). We usually plan for 4 days in a week for live sessions.

When does the RISE programme start?

Participants of the RISE programme will be enrolled in waves. The first wave begins on the 1st Feb 2021, a new wave is expected to start every 2 weeks up to the end of March.

We strongly encourage participants to apply early, we receive hundreds of applications and early applicants will be prioritised.

What if I am unable to attend some classes?

It is a requirement (mandated by SSG) that all participants maintain at least 75% attendance each month to be eligible to proceed with the programme.

If participants are unable to attend classes, you can watch the recordings of the class. But note that attendance will not be recorded.

Are assessments conducted online?

Yes, this is a fully virtual programme.

Are we not allowed to accept any job offers during this 6-month full time training?

No. The objective of SGUnited Mid-Career Pathways Programme is to support participants in their job search. If participants receive a job offer, it is a valid reason for exiting the program and there will be no penalty.

Other valid reasons include medical reasons and personal crises, more information can be found on the SSG website. Refunds will be made based on the unconsumed portion of the programme.

What is the size of a batch/cohort?

Each batch comprises of 60 people.

Lectures will be conducted to the class of 60 people. Tutorials and coaching sessions, will be conducted in smaller groups. Guest lectures will be larger as it will be a combined session for various batches.

Is there a limit on the number of people who can take this course?

The programme is designed for 1200 people.
